Together with colleagues from the DFG Research Training Group 2153: "Energy Status Data - Informatics Methods for its Collection, Analysis and Exploitation", ARE's Dominik Werle released HIPE, a high-resolution data set from an manufacturing plant located at KIT Campus North. The data set is publicly available online. While energy data sets from residential and municipal buildings have inspired a lot of research and insights in both energy-efficiency methods, as well as data analysis methods, data sets of this type from industrial settings are still rare today.

Dominik Werle presented the accompanying paper, which explains both characteristics and possible research directions using this data, at the International Workshop on Energy Data and Analytics at the ACM e-Energy '18 (pictured).
